Gravy Boat, c. 1933-1958 Hamilton Ontario by Sovereign Potters.

Material composition Fine Earthenware with Lead Glaze.

The Gravy Boat was broken into 11 distinct fragments, along with a small pouch of tiny fragments and dust. One major section was missing, requiring an infill for the stability of the object. The fragments were adhered together using a 1:1 solution of Paraloid B72 and Acetone. A mold was made using dental impression wax, and was filled using a mixture of B72/Acetone and Glass Microsphere Balloons. Once dried the infill was adhered using B72/Acetone, colour matched and coated with high gloss varnish.

Following Treatment a fitted storage box was created using Choroplast with a Myalr window. The Gravy boat is supported using a padded Ethofoam mount to ensure stability, with added Tyvek to minimize abrasion
